New drug cocktail tested in fight against bone marrow cancer
NCT ID NCT04802356
Summary
This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of adding a new drug, belantamab mafodotin, to a standard three-drug combination (VRd) for people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma who are eligible for a stem cell transplant. The goal is to see if this four-drug combination can better control the cancer before and after the transplant. About 50 participants will receive the drug combination, followed by a stem cell transplant, and then maintenance therapy for up to two years.
