First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a new type of MRI to find early signs of bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), a common cause of lung transplant failure. Three lung transplant patients had special MRI scans to see if the method could detect breathing problems earlier than standard tests. The goal is to help doctors diagnose BOS sooner and improve long-term outcomes for transplant recipients.
