Breakthrough mouthwash forms protective shield against gum disease
NCT ID NCT07402694
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of mouthwash called Amphion can help people with gum disease when used alongside standard dental cleaning treatments. The mouthwash works by forming a protective barrier in the mouth to prevent plaque from regrowing, potentially reducing inflammation without causing antibiotic resistance. Researchers will measure improvements in gum health and plaque control in 60 adults with periodontitis.
