Early test of new meningitis shot halted
NCT ID NCT04825223
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to test the safety and immune response of a new investigational vaccine designed to protect against Meningitis B, a serious bacterial infection. It involved 576 healthy volunteers, including infants, toddlers, adolescents, and adults, comparing the new vaccine to two already licensed options. The study was terminated, and its primary goal was to gather initial safety data and measure the body's antibody response to the vaccine.
