New nets battle Drug-Resistant mosquitoes in malaria fight

NCT ID NCT05796193

Summary

This study is testing two new types of insecticide-treated mosquito nets to see if they are better than standard nets at preventing malaria in children and communities. The trial involves 1,650 people across 33 villages in central Côte d'Ivoire, an area with high malaria rates and mosquitoes resistant to common insecticides. Researchers will compare how well the new nets reduce malaria cases in children and infections in the general population over three years.
