Scientists test potential One-Time cure for recurring malaria
NCT ID NCT07430592
Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called SJ733, when combined with an existing drug (tafenoquine), can completely cure P. vivax malaria and prevent it from coming back. It will involve about 104 adults with active malaria infection. Researchers will compare different lengths of SJ733 treatment to see which schedule works best to eliminate the parasite from both the blood and liver.
