Five-Day brain zap trial offers new hope for untreatable depression
NCT ID NCT06895863
Summary
This study is testing a new, faster version of magnetic brain stimulation for people with depression that hasn't improved with standard medications. It aims to see if delivering five short magnetic stimulation sessions per day for five days can reduce depression symptoms. The treatment is personalized using each person's brain scan to target the stimulation more precisely, and researchers will compare results from two different brain targets against a placebo-like sham treatment.
