Scientists test faster, more accurate lyme disease skin test

NCT ID NCT02414789

Summary

This study tested a new lab method to detect Lyme disease from a small skin sample. Researchers compared this new method to two older tests to see if it was better at finding the bacteria that causes Lyme. The goal was to improve early diagnosis when the telltale 'bullseye' rash appears, so treatment can start sooner.
