Breakthrough scan could spot lung cancer more accurately

NCT ID NCT07487883

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan that uses a special tracer called 68Ga-TOI-1 to detect lung cancer. Researchers want to see if this new scan can better identify cancerous lung tumors and determine how far they've spread compared to current standard PET scans. The study will involve 80 adults with suspected or confirmed lung cancer who are scheduled for surgery or biopsy.
