New bionic foot aims for better step

NCT ID NCT06468059

Summary

This small study tested a new, thinner prosthetic foot designed for people with below-knee amputations who have longer remaining limbs. The goal was to see if this new foot could store energy and provide a comfortable walking experience similar to bulkier prosthetics. Six participants tried the device while researchers measured their walking speed, joint stiffness, and satisfaction.
