New blood score aims to catch deadly liver cancer sooner

NCT ID NCT07319299

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test score, called the GAAD score, to see if it can help detect liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) earlier in people at high risk. It will enroll 2,100 adults with chronic liver disease or cirrhosis who are already getting regular cancer screening. Researchers will compare how well the new GAAD score works compared to current standard tests like ultrasound and a blood protein called AFP.
