New hope for kids with rare immune disorder: targeted drug added to standard chemotherapy

Summary
This study is testing if adding a new targeted drug called luvometinib to standard chemotherapy works better for children with a serious form of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), a rare immune system disorder. The trial will enroll 120 children across multiple hospitals and randomly assign them to receive either the standard treatment alone or the standard treatment plus luvometinib. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better long-term control of the disease with fewer relapses.
