New knee scanner could replace MRI for sprains

NCT ID NCT07028476

First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares a new care pathway using Automated Dynamic Laximetry (ADL) to the standard MRI-based approach for diagnosing knee sprains with suspected ligament damage. About 80 adults who visit the emergency room with a knee injury will be enrolled. The goal is to see if ADL can provide faster, cheaper diagnoses while reserving MRI for complex cases.
