New scan could replace painful kidney biopsies
NCT ID NCT06563765
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to monitor kidney scarring (fibrosis) in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The goal is to see if this scan can accurately measure scarring without needing repeated, invasive kidney biopsies. Researchers will enroll 150 patients who have recently had a kidney biopsy to compare the scan results with the biopsy findings.
