Super-Resolution ultrasound could reveal hidden kidney damage in infants

NCT ID NCT06921733

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive ultrasound imaging technique to see tiny blood vessels and structures inside the kidneys of babies and young children born with urinary tract problems (CAKUT). The goal is to see if this method can provide a clearer, more detailed picture of kidney damage and blood flow than current tests, helping doctors better predict long-term kidney health. It involves 20 children aged 1 month to 6 years who are already scheduled for a standard kidney scan.
