Custom 3D-Printed jaw plate tested against standard fixation
NCT ID NCT07206134
Summary
This study tested a new, custom-designed metal plate for fixing broken jaws against the standard plates. Twelve patients with jaw fractures near the chin nerve were split into two groups. One group got the new plate made using 3D printing, while the other got standard plates. Doctors then compared pain, swelling, healing, and nerve function over six months to see if one method worked better.
