Custom 3D-Printed jaw plate tested against standard fixation
NCT ID NCT07206134
Summary
This study tested a new, custom-designed bone plate for repairing jaw fractures near the chin nerve. Twelve patients were split into two groups: one received the new 'omega' plate made using 3D printing, and the other received standard titanium miniplates. Doctors compared how well patients healed, their pain levels, and nerve function over six months to see which method worked better.
