New hope for stubborn bleeding disorder: trial tests promising drug

NCT ID NCT07297563

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called Daratumumab works better than the standard drug Rituximab for adults with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition that causes low platelets and bleeding risk. It's for people whose ITP didn't get better or came back after initial steroid treatment. Researchers will randomly assign 160 participants to receive one of the two drugs and track their platelet counts and safety over a year.
