New shot for babies aims to block more pneumonia strains
NCT ID NCT07348692
Summary
This study is testing a new version of a vaccine that protects against serious bacterial infections like pneumonia and meningitis. It will compare the safety and immune response of the new 21-strain vaccine against a currently licensed 20-strain vaccine in healthy infants. Babies will receive four doses of the vaccine between 2 months and 12 months of age, and researchers will monitor their health and immune response for about 17 months.
