Radioactive tracer aims to pinpoint hidden cancer in lymph nodes

NCT ID NCT05901545

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new radioactive imaging drug to see if it can safely and accurately find the first lymph nodes where head and neck cancer has spread. The test involves injecting the drug before surgery and using a special scan to create a map for surgeons. The goal is to improve detection of small cancer deposits that current scans might miss, which could help guide more precise surgery.
