Doctors develop new 'Map' to make risky tumor surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07412158
Summary
This study tested a new imaging system designed to help surgeons plan safer operations for rare tumors called pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL). Researchers looked back at the medical records and scans of 500 patients who had surgery for these tumors. The goal was to see if the new imaging 'grading' system could accurately predict how complex and risky a patient's surgery would be.
