Could a simple scan replace painful biopsies for this blood disease?
NCT ID NCT06164561
Summary
This study is testing if a new type of imaging scan (called 18F-FAPI PET/MRI) can be used to diagnose and monitor myelofibrosis, a serious bone marrow disease. Researchers want to see if this scan is as good as or better than the current painful bone marrow biopsy, which cannot be repeated often. The study will involve 57 patients who will get both the new scan and the standard biopsy to compare results.
