Glowing dye trial aims to light up hidden cancer cells during surgery

NCT ID NCT05945875

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of two new imaging dyes designed to help surgeons see head and neck cancer cells more clearly. The dyes are injected before surgery and make cancer cells glow or show up on special scans, potentially helping surgeons remove more of the tumor. The trial will enroll about 40 patients to see if combining these two imaging techniques is safe and effective at finding cancer that might otherwise be missed.
