Summary
This study aims to create and test a new scoring system called the Readiness for Extubation Score (REXs). The goal is to help doctors in intensive care units (ICUs) better predict when patients on breathing machines are ready to have their breathing tubes safely removed. Researchers will collect data from 470 ICU patients to see which measurements best predict successful breathing on their own. The study does not test a new treatment, but rather a tool to improve decision-making.
