New pill targets HIV in early human trial

Summary
This study is testing a new oral drug, STP0404, to see if it safely lowers the amount of HIV virus in people who are not currently on treatment. It will involve 36 adults with HIV-1 who have taken little or no HIV medication before. Researchers will measure the change in virus levels over 11 days and check for side effects to see if the drug is working and safe.
