New treatment aims to free hepatitis b patients from daily pills

NCT ID NCT07069569

Summary

This study is testing whether adding an experimental injection called AHB-137 to standard hepatitis B treatments can help patients eventually stop their daily antiviral pills. The research involves 127 adults with a specific type of chronic hepatitis B who are already taking antiviral medication. Doctors will check if the combination treatment reduces virus levels enough that patients can safely discontinue their long-term therapy.
