New lifeline for kidney patients: testing a better dialysis graft

NCT ID NCT06494631

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Xeltis Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing a new synthetic tube, called the aXess graft, for patients with end-stage kidney disease who need hemodialysis but are not good candidates for the standard surgical connection (a fistula). The goal is to see if this new graft is safe and works well as a long-lasting access point for dialysis treatments. Researchers will track how often the graft stays open and usable, and monitor for problems like infections or bleeding.
