New scan could sharpen picture of hidden heart disease

NCT ID NCT07159074

Summary

This study is testing if a new type of imaging scan can help doctors better see and diagnose heart damage caused by sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease. Researchers will compare the new scan's results to those from standard heart scans in 15 adults who either have or are suspected of having this condition. The goal is to see if this method provides clearer information to guide patient care.
