New heart tool aims to zap AFib with less radiation

NCT ID NCT07130773

Summary

This study compares two catheters used to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib), an irregular heartbeat. The goal is to see if a newer, second-generation catheter can work just as well without requiring a CT scan before the procedure. Researchers want to know if this new approach reduces radiation exposure for patients, lowers costs, and shortens the overall procedure time while still effectively controlling AFib.
