New pacemaker technique aims to protect failing hearts
NCT ID NCT06152406
Summary
This study is testing if a newer way to pace the heart (His bundle pacing) is better and safer than the standard method (right ventricular pacing) for people with a fast, irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) who also have signs of heart failure. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two pacing methods after a procedure to control their heart rate. Researchers will measure changes in walking ability, heart function, and quality of life over 12 months.
