Drug combo could offer new mothers relief from debilitating epidural headaches

NCT ID NCT05116930

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of two existing drugs (neostigmine and glycopyrrolate) can effectively treat severe headaches that sometimes occur after an epidural procedure during childbirth. The goal is to help new mothers avoid needing a more invasive treatment called an epidural blood patch. Researchers will give the drug combination to up to 18 women who develop this type of headache and monitor their pain levels and need for further treatment.
