Simpler stomach bug treatment tested against standard care
NCT ID NCT06156085
Summary
This study compared two antibiotic treatments for eradicating H. pylori, a common stomach bacteria linked to ulcers and cancer. Over 300 adults in Taiwan were randomly assigned to receive either a newer, simpler two-drug regimen or a more complex standard three-drug regimen. The goal was to see if the simpler treatment worked just as well and was easier for patients to follow.
