Pill-Sized camera could revolutionize diagnosis of devastating childhood gut disease
NCT ID NCT04275167
Summary
This study is testing new, less invasive ways to look inside the small intestine of children and pregnant women in Pakistan who have a gut condition linked to malnutrition and stunted growth. Participants will swallow a small, pill-sized camera on a string or have a thin tube passed through their nose to take microscopic pictures of their gut. The goal is to see if these devices are practical and comfortable to use, and to gather images to better understand this widespread disease.
