First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study is testing a new, quick test for gonorrhea that can be used at the clinic, without needing a lab. It involves about 1,239 pregnant women and women with symptoms in South Africa. The goal is to see if the test works well, especially in pregnant women, and if women can collect their own samples. If accurate, this test could help more women get treated faster and reduce the spread of gonorrhea.
