Needle procedure aims to shrink bulky thyroid growths

NCT ID NCT07258199

Summary

This study is testing a new, minimally invasive procedure to treat large, non-cancerous thyroid growths called giant nodular goiters. Doctors will inject a medication directly into the blood vessels feeding the growth to try to shrink it. The goal is to reduce the size of the nodules and relieve symptoms like difficulty swallowing or breathing without major surgery.
