Major trial aims to shrink tumors before stomach cancer surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether adding one or two newer drugs to standard chemotherapy before surgery helps shrink stomach tumors more effectively. It will involve 118 adults with locally advanced stomach cancer who haven't had prior treatment for their advanced disease. Researchers will measure how well the tumors respond, how long patients live without cancer progression, and what side effects occur.
