Shorter radiation before stomach cancer surgery may boost cure rates

Summary

This study tests giving a short course of radiation along with chemotherapy before surgery for early-stage gastric cancer. The goal is to see if this combination leads to a higher rate of complete tumor disappearance compared to standard treatment. About 20 adults with newly diagnosed stomach cancer will take part.
