Breakthrough handheld scanner aims to spot childhood blindness earlier

Summary
This study is testing a new, handheld eye scanner designed for babies and young children. The goal is to see if this scanner can detect early signs of inherited retinal diseases that can cause vision loss. Researchers will use the scanner on 80 children, both with and without these eye conditions, to create better standards for early diagnosis and monitoring.
