New camera tech aims to make cancer surgery safer and quicker

NCT ID NCT07366489

Summary

This study is testing a new camera technology called Red Dichromatic Imaging (RDI) during a procedure to remove early-stage cancers in the stomach, esophagus, or colon. The goal is to see if RDI helps doctors see blood vessels and control bleeding better than the standard white-light camera, which could make the procedure faster and safer. About 158 patients with eligible early-stage lesions will be randomly assigned to have their procedure done with either the new RDI camera or the standard one.
