First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a new, non-surgical weight loss method called Gastric Mucosal Ablation (GMA) for people with class III obesity (BMI 40 or higher). Instead of surgery, doctors use a thin tube (endoscope) to treat the stomach lining with a special technique. The main goal is to see if the procedure is safe and possible to do. Thirteen participants will be followed for 6 months after treatment.
