Doctors test 'Intestinal Reset' procedure for diabetes control

Summary

This study tested the safety and feasibility of a new endoscopic procedure called DyaMX for people with type 2 diabetes. The procedure aims to regenerate the lining of the small intestine to help improve blood sugar control. 65 adults whose diabetes wasn't well-controlled on current medications underwent the procedure and were followed for 48 weeks to check for safety issues and measure changes in blood sugar levels.
