First human tests begin for vaccines targeting common virus linked to MS and cancer

NCT ID NCT06655324

Summary

This early-stage study is testing two new vaccine candidates (V350A and V350B) designed to prevent diseases caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which is linked to mononucleosis, multiple sclerosis, and certain cancers. The trial will enroll 200 healthy adults to primarily assess the safety and side effects of different vaccine doses. Researchers will also measure whether the vaccines trigger an immune response against EBV.
