New hope for surgery patients: a stronger, Longer-Lasting Anti-Nausea drug

NCT ID NCT06997419

Summary

This study is testing a new, longer-lasting form of a common anti-nausea drug called dexamethasone palmitate. Researchers want to see if giving it before surgery is better at preventing nausea and vomiting in the first 24 hours after open surgery, like spinal or abdominal operations. The trial will involve 500 adults to compare its effectiveness and safety against the standard treatment.
