New drug may ease nerve pain without side effects

Summary

This study tests a new drug called (2R,6R)-HNK to see if it can reduce nerve pain in the arms or legs. About 25 adults with chronic nerve pain will receive the drug, ketamine, or a placebo in random order. Researchers will measure pain levels, daily function, and sleep quality over several weeks.
