Hope for stubborn hypertension: trial tests new drug to protect blood vessels

NCT ID NCT04388124

Summary

This study is testing if adding a new type of drug (an endothelin receptor blocker) can improve blood vessel health and help control blood pressure in people whose high blood pressure remains high despite taking three medications. Researchers will measure how well blood vessels relax and function, and check the drug's safety, especially for the kidneys. The trial will include 24 adults with confirmed resistant hypertension.
