NCT ID NCT06594640

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new combination of drugs for people newly diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The experimental drug is a liposomal form of mitoxantrone, given with standard chemotherapy and rituximab. The trial has two parts: first, finding the safest dose, then checking how well it works. About 108 adults with untreated DLBCL will take part.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Mitoxantrone hydrochloride liposome combined with cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednisone, and rituximab
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a more effective and possibly safer first-line treatment for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, improving remission rates.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (phase I/II) with only 108 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The new drug combination may cause unexpected side effects or fail to improve outcomes.
