First human trial launches for targeted sarcoma treatment

NCT ID NCT06308419

Summary

This early-stage trial aims to find a safe and effective dose of two drugs—gemcitabine and nab-sirolimus—when used together. It is for adults with advanced leiomyosarcoma or other soft-tissue sarcomas that have specific genetic changes (TSC1 or TSC2 mutations) and have stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goal is to determine how much of this combination patients can tolerate while checking if it helps control the cancer.
