Race against time: can starting treatment faster save lives from herbicide poisoning?

NCT ID NCT07234383

Summary

This study is testing if starting a blood-filtering treatment called CVVHDF immediately after another treatment (hemoperfusion) can improve survival for people with severe diquat herbicide poisoning. It will involve 24 adults who have high levels of the poison in their blood. The goal is to see if this faster approach leads to fewer deaths and less kidney damage compared to the current practice of waiting.
