Portable device aims to boost efficiency of home kidney dialysis

NCT ID NCT05874804

Summary

This study tested a portable device called the Carry Life UF system for people doing peritoneal dialysis at home. It aimed to see if the device could remove more excess fluid from the body than a standard dialysis session by carefully adding glucose during treatment. The trial involved 28 adults with end-stage kidney disease to compare the device's performance and safety against their usual dialysis routine.
