New diabetes pill enters final testing phase

Summary
This study is testing whether a new pill called HDM1002 can help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes who haven't yet started medication. It will involve 360 participants who will take either the new pill or a placebo (inactive pill) for one year. The main goal is to see if HDM1002 safely lowers long-term blood sugar levels and helps with weight management.
